A registered Canadian charity is seeking for a program director/ a dynamic philanthropist who will take the task of providing a strategic leadership

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

1) All facets of the fund raising program including serving as the primary staff leader for the creation of strategic fund development initiatives, strengthening of ongoing planned giving programming, annual giving programs, special events, corporate and foundation relations, donor stewardship and recognition programming, gift processing and donor research functions, and public relations related to Foundation activities.

2) The Foundation Director will work closely with Foundation staff, a Foundation Advisory Committee and the Foundation CEO to create and implement a comprehensive plan for the development program that mirrors the priorities of foundation.

Qualification / Skill sets

Applicants must have at least five years of development experience in a leadership role within an established development program supplemented with appropriate academic preparation. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of successful planned giving experience and experience with comprehensive capital or endowment campaigns. Must have strong leadership skills and be highly motivated to set and achieve measurable goals.

Must have excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills. 


Location: Halifax Regional Municipality
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Recruitment Manager

As a recruitment manager of FRS, your primary role will be – act as liaison between employers and job-seekers. As such, you will hire, train, motivate, make contacts with employers and solicit potential employers as well as generate sales leads.      

 

Job task (Manager)

  • Maintain regular contacts with potential employers and job seekers.
  • With the direction of the President, develop a working plan and execute that plan to generate sales.
  • Engage with local businesses and community leaders in the HRM area.
  • Network with all businesses and sale our services to potential buyers.
  • Lead and motivate job seekers and monitor business growth.
  • Plan, direct and evaluate business operations.
  • Determine business requirements.
  • Manage responsibly and provide leadership to those responding to you directly, along with building strong relationships with various business owners and job-seekers.

 

 * Note:

Selected individual will work as a partner and salary will be remuneration based on commission only for the first six months. Afterwards salary will be based on business performance. 

 

 

Requirements and skills set 

 

* Interested individual must have post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Excellent interpersonal and problem sovling skills

* Good command of the english language both written and verbal
